Hire AI engineers

The gap is not building a demo. It is everything after it.

Almost anyone can get a convincing answer out of a model in an afternoon. The engineers worth hiring are the ones who know why that demo falls apart at a thousand users, what to measure before anyone depends on it, and how to keep the running cost from quietly doubling. Ours have taken AI systems into production and supported them afterwards.

What's Included

Production experience, not notebook experience

People who have run an AI feature in front of real users: rate limits hit, providers gone down mid-day, prompts that worked for six months and then did not. The failure modes are not in the tutorials, and having met them is most of what you are hiring for.

Retrieval that answers from your material

Chunking, embedding choice, hybrid search, reranking, and citations back to the source document. Also knowing when retrieval is the wrong tool and a database query would have answered it exactly, which is a surprisingly common finding.

Agents, tools, and knowing where to stop

Wiring a model to systems that can actually change something: tool schemas, permission boundaries, retries that do not duplicate an action, and an approval gate in front of anything expensive or irreversible.

Evaluation before anyone depends on it

A test set built from your real cases, a measure everyone agrees on, and a number that moves when a prompt or a model changes. Without it, every change is a vibe and every regression is found by a customer.

Cost and latency treated as engineering

Model routing so the expensive model is used only where it earns its place, caching that actually hits, batching, and streaming where the wait is visible. Running cost is a design constraint, not something discovered on the first full invoice.

The infrastructure underneath

Deployment, versioning, monitoring, and the data pipelines feeding all of it. An AI system is mostly ordinary software engineering, which is why an engineer with only model experience struggles and one with both does not.

How we work

How the work runs

  1. Tell us the role

The stack, the seniority, the hours you need covered, and what the person will actually own. A short brief beats a job description, because it tells us what good looks like here.

passed when the role and the overlap hours are agreed

  2. Meet matched candidates

You interview a short list of engineers who have already passed our assessment, not a queue of CVs. Nobody is placed with you who you have not spoken to yourself.

passed when you have said yes to a specific person

  3. They join your team

Your repository, your standup, your review process, your definition of done. They take direction from your leads from the first week rather than working to a separate plan of ours.

passed when they ship without being walked through it

  4. Scale, or stop

Add people as the work grows and reduce on notice when it does not. If the fit is wrong, tell us early and we replace them at our cost.

no minimum term: notice, not lock-in

How pricing works

when you need hands, not a hire

Monthly rate per engineer

One rate covering the engineer, contracts, payroll, tax and compliance. You are billed for time worked, from the day they start.

when you are comparing us to an agency

No recruitment or placement fee

Nothing is charged for the match itself. If it does not work out, you have not already paid a fee for the privilege.

when you cannot forecast past a quarter

Notice, not lock-in

Scale up or down on notice instead of committing to a term. A wrong fit is replaced at our cost.
